Our work extended in years, starting from innovative and elegant tables like ‘RAGNO’ to ‘GHOST’, Cini Boeri’s vanguard armchair; we are in a continuous evolution, ready to see what glass has to offer, basing also on the developing technologies. So, before we get underway, I’d like to share with you a few of the driftwood lamp creations that we have recently produced here in our Skipjack design studio located in Olde Towne Portsmouth, Virginia. We decided to design and produce, together with the Nike team, tailored textures that were applied as lampshades. Italian Design Interiors became over the years the designer’s source for fine Italian furniture, all styles under one roof. Italy is too the home of the renowned Salone del Mobile , where every April the country’s biggest family design firms flaunt their wares in design-savvy Milan.
The rest of the show presents pieces from hundreds of different female designers throughout Italian history—navigating the installation as a river, or a timeline, that begins in the late nineteenth century and ends with bold works of the present day.
The Skipjack design studio utilizes many shipboard items that are removed from retired ships in foreign and domestic shipyards as well as natural materials such as locally found driftwood, boards and vintage fisherman’s materials to produce one of a kind nautical/coastal furniture and furnishings!
On the other hand we love Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov for his energy; he can communicate just with colors and shapes, creating a fresh and vibrant imagery.
