It connects you with Italy’s finest designers, enabling you to realise your project, study design at the most prestigious Italian Universities or to invest in entrepreneurial dreams of the most talented designers. The map will highlight all participating retail, wholesale and other professional establishments in the Metro Vancouver area that sell and/or promote Italian design brands. The design has also benefitted from previous work done to design the Absalom class, another success story. The exhibition celebrates women as the new creative force behind a form of design that is less high-handed, less authoritarian, more spontaneous and more dynamic. Kartell has always been a presence in the Salone del Mobile in Milan , and as one of the most important brands in the industry, Kartell now has 130 stores in the world, exporting mainly to the United States.

Graphic representation in the form of renderings, 3D printing, and the creation of small prototypes further assist their ability to design and visualise products in connection with space or location, and accurately evaluate their functional and ergonomic properties.

The exhibition runs through the of September, so there’s still a couple of days to see examples of amazing modern Italian design projects, created by some of the up-and-coming Italian industrial designers. While Italy’s dynastic family design set might have one foot in the past, it is a past whose legacy has very much helped to shape the present day and will continue to inform the future.
