Leather is a classic in both fashion and interiors, so we’re sure we’ll see some leather pieces from our favorite furniture designers in the months to come, too. The 20th century saw women’s design skills being pushed to the side-lines, but the 21st century is increasingly showing a new-found interest in these design skills. After thumbing through design magazines during study breaks, she fell in love with design. Some urban homes in Italy tend to be small, and interior designers try their best to allocate space, doors, colors and windows to give as much a semblance of open space as possible. The exhibition puts forth that female designers contributed to this industry-wide attitude shift.
