Home Contractor Vs. Homeowner (1)

Homeowners spend more money on kitchen remodeling than on any other home improvement project. We have worked with three other home remodeling companies, and Hurst impressed us by (1) actually calling us back, (2) coming to our home at the time scheduled for the job estimate, (3) having an estimate within one week, (4) starting the job when they said they would!

Homeowners also need to take responsibility for who they hire, if you are only looking at the bottom number and you want the guy who is going to do all your home repairs or remodeling for a fraction of what a good contractor would do it for – I suggest you look at your self when a job goes bad.remodelingremodeling

We recently did a kitchen remodel and the homeowners decided to add, add, add and add, when they were presented with a cost to their changes we were told they could not afford it. So we didn’t do the work, but proceeded to finish the contract, then the homeowners at the end of the job, with less then a day of labor to finish, fired us off the job by calling us and telling us to not return!remodeling

On the following pages, we’ll show you the ways, from the big (knock down the house and start over) to something as small as choosing a wall sconce over a recessed light. I can enthusiastically recommend Ben and his team at Thompson Remodeling for your next remodeling need! Finally, construction of the field house at White Oak Middle School is 90% complete and is expected to finish up in July. Our designers will listen to your remodeling ideas to capture your vision and make it a reality.

The architectural firm of Mann & Company, Hutchinson, Kansas, designed the new building and Lawrence Peterson Construction served as the general contractor. It came through the farm with hail that broke out windows (on our back porch) and a kitchen window.
